For a gourmet lunch with genuine and very tasty products, near the historic center of Agnone, in Molise, I recommend the restaurant “Terra Mia”. We chose a table on the terrace; the atmosphere was very well-kept and the staff was very courteous and competent. The food is truly excellent, but the menu selection is not extensive. As an appetizer, we had eggplant croquettes, gazpacho, basil and stracciata, and a cheese board; as a first course, mezzelune with stracciata, zucchini, saffron and mint; and as a second course, a sliced beef steak with arugula and caciocavallo, and salt cod with peppers (we were also offered a complimentary starter). The prices are consistent with the quality of the food, although the portions are not that substantial. We spent ~€38 per person (there were 4 of us with 4 waters and 4 cover charges).
