A few meters from the Lepanto metro A station, you can find this historic café, called "Sciascia caffè 1919", which offers a wide selection of special coffees. We chose the cold cappuccino with coffee granita, garnished with whipped cream, dark chocolate shavings, and a wafer; we paired it with a single-serving dessert with cream and wild berries. The atmosphere is historic, especially inside; the exterior is quite well-kept, although it doesn't offer a great view of the neighborhood. The selection of pastries and savory items leaves a bit to be desired, but the essentials are there. The staff is friendly, the service is quite fast, and the prices are in line with the area (~€5 per person).

Excellent chocolate coffees, hot chocolate, pastries and little treats. A gem of Rome. It's not the cheapest place, but it's behind the Vatican and you can taste the quality.

In the heart of Piazza Mazzini, you can enjoy an excellent coffee and eat delicious pastries like the fiocco di riso, my favorite, a sweet treat suitable for breakfast and also for a tasty snack. If you come here at aperitivo time, you must stop by, because fruit and cured meat platters will accompany your drink (the fruit-based ones are excellent).
